
About Te Kiwa Nui
Te Kiwa Nui celebrates Pacific languages and culture through powerful oratory, song and dance. This year’s programme continues to build up the mana of cultural creativity and identity.and dance.
The festival brings together spectators and performers from a variety of pacific cultures including:
- Samoa
- Tonga
- Tokelau
- Cook Islands
- Niue
- Fiji
- Tuvalu
- Rotuma
The festival is targeted at bringing together our Maori and Pasifika community to create a platform and a learning environment for our New Zealand born Pacific and Maori students to be confident in their culture and their identity. The festival continues to create strong leaders and stewards of our culture for future generations.

Our Host
Bishop Viard College is proud to host this year’s event. With a multicultural presence amongst our students, we are excited to open our arms and welcome everyone to this magnificent event.
